In January, Felix Hallam left Worcester to come to Worcester. Hallam coaches the women’s basketball team at the University of Worcester in England, but this semester he’s been helping out with the Worcester State women’s basketball team while taking part in a study abroad program

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Junior forward Chanelle Melton (Brockton, Mass.) scored 21 points to lead the third-seeded Bridgewater State University Bears to a 55-45 victory over #6 Worcester State University in the opening round of the 2016 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Basketball Tournament on Tuesday evening at the Tinsley Center.
WORCESTER, Mass. - The Westfield State Owls battled back to beat the Worcester State Lancers 75-67 in the regular season finale, as senior center Forbasaw Nkamebo (Amherst, Mass) gave the Owls a double-double performance of 19 points and 12 rebounds. With the win, the Owls conclude their regular season with an 18-7 overall record and 11-1 in the MASCAC, clinching the regular season title and first place seed in the tournament. The Lancers finish out their regular season with a 7-18 and 4-8 MASCAC record.
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - The Framingham State women’s basketball team defeated the visiting Worcester State Lancers 68-42 in MASCAC action Wednesday evening. With the win, the Rams improve to 17-6 and 9-2 in the league to hold the number two seed in the MASCAC tournament. The Lancers fall to 7-17 and 4-7 in conference play, currently tied at the fourth seed with MCLA.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.- The MCLA women’s basketball team received a 21 point, 10 rebound effort from Kayla Hotaling (Ravena, N.Y.) as the Trailblazers defeated the Worcester State Lancers 61-58 in MASCAC action this afternoon from the Amsler Campus Center Gym. With the win, the Trailblazers avenged an earlier loss to the Lancers as they improved to 11-8 overall and stand at 3-4 in conference play. The Lancers drop to 5-14 overall and have a 2-5 mark in league play.
