141 Lancers Earn MASCAC All-Academic Team Honors

2021 MASCAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team

WESTFIELD, Mass. - A total of 141 Worcester State University student-athletes were honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference on Wednesday afternoon when the league announced its Winter/Spring 2021 All-Academic Team.

Student-athletes who compete in championship varsity sports offered by each of the MASCAC institutions during the course of the Winter and Spring 2021 athletic season and have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average during the semester are eligible for selection to the Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. Across the conference, 881 student-athletes received the honor.

Westfield State University placed the most student-athletes on the 2021 MASCAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team with 158 total, while Bridgewater State University was second with 157. Worcester State was close behind in third with 141, while Massachusetts Maritime and Salem State finished with the same number of student-athletes on the team with 87 to have the fourth most on the list.

"Congratulations to the 881 student-athletes who were named to the 2021 MASCAC Winter/Spring All-Academic team,” MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann said. “Despite the challenges of this year, our student-athletes persevered through the adversity and the number of honorees on the team is a testament to that.”
