Worcester, MA- With the first meeting of the season with the Rams coming down to a thriller of a finish, the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team (9-12, 7-3) focused on grabbing a much-needed win for the postseason seeding. The first meeting, which Worcester won 73-65, went down to the final moments before Worcester claimed the victory. Tonight, Worcester aimed to show more dominance on home court.

Women's Basketball

Worcester, MA- Looking to claim a home court advantage in the playoffs, the Worcester State Women’s Basketball team (9-12, 6-4) kicked off the week hosting the Framingham State Rams in one of their final four games of the regular season. In their last meeting the Rams claimed the 80-52 victory, an outcome the Lancers hoped to change. Tonight’s game was also played in honor of Play4Kay and the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund.

Worcester, MA- after making it six straight wins last night with a 5-0 shutout victory over Framingham State the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team (12-8, 9-1) looked to solidify their hold on the post season top seed as they squared off with the current second seeded Rivier.

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Ice Hockey team (9-8-4, 2-5-3) returned home tonight to host a game in honor of student athlete Evan Armit, who passed away in August, and the creation of the “11-Fund” in his honor. This fund, created with the support of Teddy Bear Pools and Spas, will be a permanent endowment established at Worcester State University to honor the legacy of student-athlete Evan Armit, who passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 23 following a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma.

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State University men’s indoor track and field team put together a strong and well-rounded showing Saturday at the CGA Bears Invite #2, highlighted by sprint finals appearances, field event scoring efforts, and several personal grit performances across the distance and throwing events.

Worcester, MA- With a solid single claim on the first seed in MASCAC play, the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey (11-8, 8-1) have set their sights on winning out to seal the deal. Tonight’s game was played in honor of Project New Hope which empowers Veterans, Service Members, and their families through transformative retreats, essential resources, and holistic support services. For over 16 years, we’ve been dedicated to fostering healing, resilience, and purpose beyond military service—honoring those who served while strengthening individuals, families, and communities. The team also honored junior Abigail Hartley (South Hadley, MA) who was promoted to E-4 SRA and was awarded Airman of the Year for her Wing.
