Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Soccer season wrapped up their 2022 season this afternoon at DeBaun Athletic Complex in Hoboken, NJ. The Lancers, who finished last season with a record of 3-11-1, and 2-5 in the conference, had a completely different journey this season with a perfect balance of returners, first years and new additions to the program. Each game saw the squad meld and become more and more unified as they strove to their goal of a MASCAC Championship. With the championship now safely stowed away, The Lancers headed Stevens Institute of Technology to take on the #4 ranked Ducks in the round of 64.

Junior Andy Ramirez (Waltham, MA) was named the MASCAC Tournament MVP at the conclusion of the match for his strong performance all postseason.

The Lancers & Bears both came into this game after their 0-0 draw earlier in the season with the intention to put one in the net and seal the Conference title for a trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Worcester, MA - The Lancers hit the road to the O’Keefe Sports Complex in Salem to take on the #2 seed Vikings in a hard fought MASCAC Quarter Final battle Friday evening. The only goal in the game scored by Sophomore Defender Mal Hawkins (Los Angeles, CA) sealed the victory for Worcester as they eliminated the defending champions and punched their ticket to the MASCAC Championship for the first time since 2016.

With goals from Junior Forward Luke-Mark Anu (Salem, MA) and Sophomore Midfielder Waseem Mahmoud (Northborough, MA), Worcester State secured their eighth shutout of the season with a 2-0 victory over the Bucs.

Worcester, MA - The Lancers hosted the Framingham State Rams in a MASCAC showdown Saturday afternoon in front of a lively crowd at Coughlin Field. Both teams entered this game undefeated in the conference, with Worcester State holding a 3-0-2 record and Framingham 5-0. Tensions were high on both sides the entire game, with great chances made on both ends of the field. The support from the stands added onto the excitement these two teams brought to this highly anticipated game between the only two remaining undefeated teams in the conference. Despite the chances that were created, both teams were unable to put one in the net, resulting in a draw.
