Williamstown, MA --- Sophomore Erin Beccia (Rutland, MA) was 26 seconds off first place as she helped pace the Worcester State women's cross country team to fourth overall at the MASCAC Championships this morning held at Mount Greylock's 5k course.

Beccia finished with a split of 20:25.85 for the 11th fastest time among New England Alliance competators as the Lancers were seventh out of 15 teams in the Alliance standings.

Senior Chelsey Peso (Uxbridge, MA) and classmate Maggie Ingraham (Danvers, MA) were 15th (21:21.64) and 17th (21:28.78), respectively, followed by freshman Sara McIsaac (Weymouth, MA) who added 36th (22:49.59).

Sophomore Melanie Hunter (Maynard, MA) notched 56th (24:09.98), freshman Justine Murdocca (Milford, MA) was right behind in 57th (24:11.76) and first-year teammate Jaime Sullivan (Hubbardston, MA) added 76th (25:22.76).

The Lancers return to Mount Greylock in two weeks when they compete at the Division III New England Regional qualifier.
