WORCESTER, Mass. – On Monday afternoon, a group of the Worcester State University Athletics staff took an inside look at the new Wellness Center. They wore their hard-hats and saw the construction underway as the building is planned to open in the fall of 2016.
The new $52.6 million, 101,000 square foot facility will replace a gym building built in 1958 and feature athletic space, instructional space, studio space, student health facilities, and community space. A few of the highlights include a competition gymnasium, a multi-purpose gymnasium, elevated track, two-floor fitness center, golf simulator, and many more.
