Title: Volunteer Assistant

Joe Albano begins his third year as an assistant coach of the Lancers. Albano assists in coaching the infielders while he coaches third base during games. Last year he helped the team capture their fourth MASCAC Tournament Championship and make their fifth NCAA Division III Tournament apperance.

Coach Albano previously served at St. Peter-Marian as a coach for six years before he started coaching with the Lancers as he helped lead them win the Districts twice. Albano was a four-year starter at shortstop for Division II Eckerd and a captain in his senior year and he played in the Northwoods Collegiate Baseball League in Minnesota for two years.

Coach Albano was a five year starter for St. Peter-Marian starting out his varsity career as an eighth grader as he started in 90 consecutive games. Albano was also a standout defensive back and running back of the Guardian football team that won five consecutive Super Bowls and a captain in his senior year. Albano was all-conference in all four seasons of high school and a member of both the baseball and football Telegram-Gazette Super team.

Coach Albano holds his masters degree in Criminal Justice and is currently a police officer for the City of Worcester.
