Bill Long enters his seventh season with the Lancers football program. In previous years, Long has coached the running backs and taken on game coordinator responsibilities. The past two years, Long has taken on the role as the Worcester State offensive line coach.

In recent years, Long coached two-time all-conference running back, Kemani Jones, who broke the school record for all-time rushing yards (3,095), all-time rushing touchdown record in a single game (4), and the single-season record for yards in a season (1,275).

In 2012, the Blue and Gold were sixth in the 16-team NEFC in total offense while ranking among the top 15 teams in New England.

Prior to coming to Chandler Street, Coach Long was the head coach at Algonquin High before serving as an assistant coach at St. John's of Shrewsbury. While a on the staff at St. John's, the squad won three consecutive Central Massachusetts Super Bowl titles from 2004-06.

The 1997 graduate of Norwich University is a longtime member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
