Cosenza and MacDonald Selected to Little East Conference All-Conference Team

North Dartmouth, MA --- Senior classmates Kim Cosenza and Erin MacDonald have each been named to the Little East Conference (LEC) All-Conference team in a vote taken by each of the conferences 14 head coaches as announced by league publicist Jack Holleran late last week.

Cosenza, a native of Fitchburg, MA, was tabbed for first team accolades as a defender. Cosenza anchored the Lancers defensively as she notched seven defensive saves in 19 contests. Her defensive saves tied her for 15th in Division III and tied her for the second best total in the LEC.

MacDonald, who hails from Dedham, MA, received second team honors and she is the first goalkeeper honored on the team since 2004 when Nichole Gomes was distinguished. MacDonald finished the season seventh in NCAA Division III in save percentage (.851) while she was also second in the LEC in saves (198) and saves per game (9.43), fifth in shutouts (5) and fourth in the conference with a 1.32 goals against average.

The Lancers finished the season at 11-10 after they exited the first round of the ECAC Division III New England Field Hockey Tournament with a 3-0 loss to St Josephs of Maine. WSC is coached by Reene LaValley and Abby Sallila.
