Little East All-Academic Teams
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced that a total of 470 student-athletes have been named to the 2021 LEC Fall All-Academic Team.
Worcester State, who competes as an associate member of the LEC in field hockey, placed 11 student-athletes on the team.
To be named to the LEC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year.
Seniors Hope Makey (Clinton, Mass.), Julianna Martinelli (Auburn, Mass.), Ann Maher (Mansfield, Mass.) and Julia Collins (Shrewsbury, Mass.) all earned the accolade. Maher and Martinelli are making their second appearances on the LEC All-Academic Team.
They were joined by juniors Emily Saucier (Auburn, Mass.), Carly Duff (Warren, Mass.) Maggie Campion (Ashland, Mass.) Molly Cutting (Auburn, Mass.), and Emily Floury (Warren, Mass.).
Sophomores Samantha Gastonguay (Ashburnham, Mass.) and Zoe Athanasopoulos (Hopedale, Mass.) made their first appearances on the All-Academic team.

102 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.90
