Ellen Maruszewski
Title: Assistant Coach

Coach Maruszewski enters her second year of coaching at Worcester State College after previously graduating from St. Anslem. An outstanding defensive player for the Hawks, Maruszewski was named a team captain in 2008 and she helped lead a unit that finished second in the Northeast 10 in defensive saves as the squad tallied 12 in 18 games. At the end of the season, Maruszewski was named to the Division II NFHCA North-South Senior All-Star game and she also received the nod as the teams Unsung Hero.

In her career Maruszewski tallied 13 defensive saves while she had a season-high of eight in her sophomore campaign which was second on the team and third in the Northeast 10.

In the summer of 2008, Coach Maruszewski was chosen to represent the United States and compete in a number of field hockey tournaments in Barbados. In this capacity Maruszewski worked with and supported members from other teams in the country to made up this team. The squad finished the season undefeated.

A native of Leominster, Coach Maruszewski also played field hockey at St. Bernard’s where she was a team captain and received the team award as the best defensive player in her senior year.
