Coach Vogel begins her third year of coaching at Worcester State
after she helped guide the Lancers to an ECAC Division III New
England Tournament berth last season. A 2006 graduate of WSC, Vogel
was a three-time field hockey captain who helped lead her squad to
the MASCAC Championship in 2002 and to the ECAC’s in 2004. In
career 71 games, Vogel totaled six goals, three assists for a total
of 15 points.
Coach Vogel was also an outstanding student athlete as she was
named to the WSC Student Athlete Honor roll in all four years
enrolled while she was also a member of the MASCAC All-Academic
team for three years as well. Vogel also received the prestigious
2005-06 “Peg” Nugent Award as the top female scholar
athlete in her senior class.
In high school, Coach Vogel was a field hockey captain in her
senior year at Gardner High. Representing the region of Central
Mass that summer at the Bay State games, she helped her squad
capture a bronze medal.
Coach Vogel attained a BA in English with a minor in Secondary
Education and she is currently pursuing her Masters in Education at
Worcester State with a concentration in English. She is currently
an English teacher at Douglas high school.
