Worcester, MA --- Worcester State sophomore Bob Bruso (Auburn, MA) has been named to the seven member Division III All-New England team after his performance this past week at the 74th Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships. The NEIGA's were held at Captains Golf Course in Brewster, MA.
Over the two day event Bruso fired a 152 (eight over par) to tie for 15th place overall which was good for third among Division III finishers. Bruso helped the Lancers finish 18th out of 46 teams and sixth out of 26 Division III institutions in attendance.
Locally, Bruso joined Steve Wolak (N. Grovensdale, CT) of Assumption along with Pasquale Pio (Somers, CT) and Chris Healy (Charlton, MA) of Nichols College on the All-New England team. Nichols was the top Division III finisher in fourth place while Assumption took 21st.
