Providence RI --- Junior Mike Horan (Billerica, MA), sophomore Tim Howard (Dudley, MA) and freshman Dan Duclos (Attleboro, MA) all finished a stroke off each other as the Men's Golf team finished ninth overall at the Rhode Island College Invitational this afternoon.
Horan led the Lancers as he tied for 25th and shot +10 at the 72 par Triggs golf course, just nine strokes off of Kyle Tibbets from Providence College's club golf team. Howard tied for 32nd (+11) while Duclos knotted 36th (+12). The other finishers for WSC included first-year teamates Chris Brunelle (Worcester, MA), who tied for 45th (+15) and Dane Goolsky (Rutland, MA) who rounded out the group in 59th as he carded 96 (+24).
The hosting Anchormen won the meet as four of five teamates finished 80 or below.
Worcester State is back in action on Sunday when they head to Webster/Dudley golf course for the Nichols Invitational.
