Brewster, MA --- Junior Captain Bob Bruso (Auburn, MA) continued his outstanding fall as he fired a 69 (-3) to finish in second overall at the first round of the 75th Annual NEIGA Championships at Captains Golf Course. His back nine score of 32 was the best on the field in the opening round of play.
Worcester State as a team is currently in 29th overall with a team score of 332. Their score is 13th among Division III schools as they are just 41 strokes off the lead. Dartmouth College leads the field as they are paced by Davis Mullany, who is the leader after he carded a 67 (-5) on the first day.
Senior Dave Urella (Worcester, MA/Burncoat) and junior Mike Horan (Billerica, MA) tied for 141st after they each notched an 86 (+14) while freshman Chris Ellis (Worcester, MA) and junior Mike Leveroni (Abington, MA) tied for 178th with a 91 (+19).
