Bruso Tied For Lead After First Round At Middlebury
Middlebury, VT --- Senior captain Bob Bruso (Auburn, MA) tied for the top spot with a 74 (+3) in the first round of the two-day Middlebury Invitational at the par 71 Ralph Myhre golf course. In their season opener, the Lancers are also in 12th place out of 25 teams.
Bruso is currently tied with Matt Lussier (Holliston, MA) of RPI, Greg Scott (New Haven, VT) of Hamilton and Rob Donahue (Canton, MA) of Middlebury while Manhattanville and St. Anslem are both knotted for first for the team title. 
Senior Chris Ellis (Charlton, MA/St. Peter-Marian) is tied for 24th as he shot six over par (77) while classmate Dave Urella (Worcester, MA/Burncoat) fired a +7 (78) to tie for 31st. Sophomore Chris Brunelle (Worcester, MA/Holy Name) is tied for 116th as he was +14 (88) after the opening round and senior TJ Magnell (Leominster, MA) carded a 128th (94; +20) in his first collegiate round.
