Cranston, RI --- Chris McCarthy shot a two-day score of 119 to tie for 18th (+13) to help the Worcester State men's golf team place 12th this afternoon at the Johnson & Wales Spring Wildcat Invitational held at the par 71 Cranston Country Club.

The Lancers handed in a card of 523 (+99) over 27 holes as the event this weekend was shortened due to heavy rain. Husson won the team championship with a score of 468 (+44).

Junior Joe Belanger (Wachusett, MA) tied for 42nd with as he registered 126 strokes (+20) followed by sophomore James Letourneau (Seekonk) who finished in 60th with 138 (+32).

Dane Goolsky tied for 62nd (140; +34) and Jory Courtney placed 64th (143; +37) in a field that included 73 competitors.
