Brewster, MA --- Highlighted by sophomore Zach Mahan (Leicester, MA), the Worcester State men's golf team sliced off 30 strokes off their total from yesterday to settle for 34th place at the NEIGA Championships.
The Lancers played at the par 72 Starboard side of the Captains Golf course and totalled 680 (+104) strokes as a team.
Junior Joe Belanger (Holden, MA) was the top finisher for WSU as he had a 79 (+7) today as tied for 107th (164; +20). Classmate Chris Ellis tied for 119th (167; +23) while Mahan shaved off 15 strokes from his total from yesterday with a card of 79 today, to tie for 144th (173; +29).
Sophomore James Letourneau (Seekonk, MA) was two strokes better than yesterday with to tie for 153rd (176; +32) and senior Jim Sarkisian (Auburn, MA) placed 165th with a two-day score of 194 (+50).
