Charlton, MA --- Senior Joe Belanger (Holden, MA) fired an 81 (+10) to help lead the Worcester State men's golf team to seventh at the Assumption Shootout this afternoon at the Par 71 Heritage Country Club.

The Lancers scored 343 as a team as they were 42 strokes off of Holy Cross' A squad's first-place sum (301) and only 30 strokes out of tying for third with UMass Lowell (313).

Freshman Brendan Dugan (Sutton, MA) finished with an 85 (+13) while freshman Jackson Davis (Spencer, MA) and sophomore Bryan Dunham (Tolland, CT) added an 88 (+17) and an 89 (+18), respectively.

Freshman Zach Poirier (Sturbridge, MA) rounded out the group handing in a card of 90 (+19).

Worcester State hits up the links again this weekend at the two-day Johnson & Wales Wildcat Spring Invitational at Cranston Country Club.
