Westfield, MA --- Sophomore David Rixham (Northbridge, MA) tied for 13th with a card of 80 (+9) to help lead the Worcester State men's golf team to ninth at the Westfield State Invitational on Saturday which was held at the Par 71 Tekoa Country Club.
The Lancers scored a total of 344, which was just 36 strokes off of Southern Maine's total. The Huskies continued their outstanding season with the team title.
Other WSU finishers included freshman Connor Guerin (Oxford, MA) and junior Jeremy Ross (Holden, MA) who both tied for 34th (86; +15). Senior Dane Goolsky (Worcester, MA/Wachusett) equaled 42nd (92; +21) and senior Mark Evans (Ludlow, MA) added 45th (99; +28).
The Blue and Gold enter the postseason part of their schedule starting with the two-day GNAC Championships on Saturday and Sunday. They will co-host the tournament with Anna Maria at Blackstone National.
