Men’s Golf Places Five On Fall MASCAC All-Academic Team

Westfield, MA --- Worcester State men's golf juniors Matt Collamer (Dracut, MA) and Bryan Dunham (Tolland, CT) join freshman classmates Anthony Bement (Attleboro, MA), Steven Ferraro (Leicester, MA) and Brett Tetreault (Webster, MA) on the MASCAC Fall All-Academic Team as announced by conference publicist Emily Diekelmann.

The team was tied for third in the conference with five first-time selections and boasted a 3.11 cumulative team grade point average for the semester, which was the highest among the eight Worcester State men's varsity athletic programs.

To earn a spot on the MASCAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester based grade point average during their semester of competition.

Piloted by third-year head coach Mark Gurski the Lancers finished off a solid fall campaign with a eighth place finish at the GNAC championships and a 35th place finish (20th in Division III) at the NEIGA Championships in October.

Among institutions in the MASCAC, Worcester State had 78 overall selections on the league fall academic honor roll for the third highest total in the conference. The total number of WSU student-athletes also marked the highest since the league began listing its all-academic honor roll on a season-by-season basis during the 2009-10 academic year.
