WESTFIELD, Mass. – Worcester State University's Steven Ferraro (Leicester, Mass.) helped the Lancers to a 4th place finish at the Westfield State University Invitational men's golf tournament on Tuesday (Sep. 27) afternoon at the Tekoa Country Club.

Ferraro tied for second place as he carded a 38 on the front nine, and then a 35 on the back nine to score a 73 (+2) on the par-71 course.

"He's one of our co-captains this season and his performance is going to be a big boost for our entire team," said Camarra.

Worcester State's Mike Jezierski (Thompson, Conn.) carded a 78 on the day as he recorded 41 strokes on the front nine, and improved on the back nine with 37 for a 13th place finish.

"The team played real solid today," commented Camarra. "The entire team battled through a wet golf course and some really hard pin locations. We're proud of the finish today and looking forward to the rest of the season."

The Lancers next tournament is on Oct. 8 when they host the Worcester City Championships at Blackstone National in Sutton, Mass.
