Five Men’s Golfers Named to 2017-18 GNAC Academic All-Conference Teams

WORCESTER, Mass. – Five Worcester State University men's golf student-athletes have been named to the 2017-18 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by longtime GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh on Thursday.

 

A total of 1,008 student-athletes have been named to the team. In order to be eligible for the league's academic all-conference squad, a student must have a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have reached second-year academic status.

 

Johnson & Wales University (RI) led the way with 123 total selections, while four other GNAC schools eclipsed 90 honorees in Saint Joseph's College of Maine (95), Regis (Mass.) (91), Simmons College (91) and Lasell College (90).

Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 13 member institutions and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region.
