PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Worcester State University men's golf team competed today at Berkshire Hills Country Club in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Preview Invitational and finished in 5th place.
Salem State won the championship with a team score of 313.
First Year Jack Ryan (Wakefield, MA) shot Worcester State's low round of the day with an 6-over 78 to finish tied for 7th place overall. Senior Jake Poitras (Harwich, MA) shot an 87 and Sophomore Patrick Rennie (Bridgewater, MA) finished with a 92.
Junior Max Joiner (Great Barrington, MA) shot an 93 and sophomore Ethan Bowlin (Holden, MA) shot a 94 to round out the scoring for the Lancers.
Worcester State will next hit the links this Thursday, September 16th when they compete in the Warrior Invitational at The Windham Club in North Windham, CT.
