Worcester State Men’s Golf Wraps up Rose City Invitational

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men's Golf team competed Sunday and Monday at the Rose City Invitational in Norwich, Conn. The team placed seventh during the two day tournament to start off the season.

 

Eastern Connecticut won the tournament with a team score of 604, while Worcester State had a team score of 734.

 

First Year Jon Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA) led the team, ending in 28th, shooting an 90 and 85 over the two days to end at +33. Junior Patrick Rennie (Bridgewater, MA) was close on Gastonguay's score, notching a 90 and 88 to end the two days at +36.

 

The Lancers are back in action on September 28 when they head to the Brett Williamson Invitational which was rescheduled from its initial date of September 22.
