Worcester State Finishes Third Behind Strong Swing of Ryan

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men's Golf team opened their season with a strong 3rd place finish at the MCLA Trailblazer Invitational on Tuesday, finishing with a score of 336, behind the team leading finish of junior Jack Ryan (Wakefield, MA) who finished the course with a score of 80.

Ryans team leading score of 80 was not the only low result of the day as sophomore Jon Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA) and senior Pat Rennie (Bridgewater, MA) ended the afternoon with a score of 84. Closed behind was junior TJ Conrad (Rutland, MA), who ended the afternoon with a score of 88. Closing out the top five scoring for the Lancers was junior Cam McLaughlin (Wakefield, MA), who recorded a 111.

The Lancers are back in action September 20th when they head to the Brett Williamson Invitational in a final tune up before the MASCAC Championship on September 30th.
