Johnson and Wales Game Postponed

Auburn, MA --- The game that was scheduled between Worcester State and Johnson and Wales has been postponed until further notice and will be rescheduled at a later date.

The Lancers took the lead with 9:38 off the clock in the first after Chris Wallin notched his third goal of the season on assists from Bill Knauber and Lee Belisle to go up 1-0. At the end of the opening period, there was a problem discovered with the playing surface. Before the teams hit the ice for the start of the second period, a group consensus was made (by the head coaches and referees) to continue the game at a later date so that the problem could be fixed.

Worcester State (3-9, 1-5 ECAC NE) will continue their season at home against Fitchburg State on Thursday while the Wildcats (6-7-2, 5-1-1 ECAC NE) will host Nichols on Friday. Both games are slated to start at 5:30.
