Neuhold Scoops Up First MASCAC Award of the Season for WSU Men’s Ice Hockey

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Freshman forward Bridgham Neuhold (Edmond, Okla.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week, announced on Monday by the conference office.

Neuhold scored twice in a week that saw the Lancers pick up back to back wins, including a 6-4 MASCAC victory over Westfield State.

He netted a power-play goal in Thursday's game against Franklin Pierce University, which at the time tied the game at two. The Lancers would go on to win that game in dramatic fashion, scoring twice in the final minute to win 4-3 for their first victory of the year.

This weekend, Neuhold scored 3:33 into the first period to give the Lancers a 2-0 lead in their eventual 6-4 win over Westfield State.

In six games this year, the freshman forward has a team-leading four goals, good for second in the conference. He will look to continue his hot streak on Thursday evening when the Lancers play at Framingham State at 7:40 PM.
