Both sides went back-and-forth on puck possession as Morrisville had a strong start to the game, drawing first blood three minutes in by Jacob Black from Ryan Glazer & Curtis Abbott. Worcester responded soon after with sophomore forward Martin Dlugolinsky (Stara Lubovna, Slovakia)'s fourth of the season from junior forward Brian Clougherty (Lynn, Mass.) & senior forward Kevin Drevitch (Oxford, NJ) to even the score at one apiece. The Mustangs would later break the tie when Glazer & Black connected with Will Jones to put Morrisville back in the lead, which is where it would stay heading into the second period. Morrisville came in control as the Mustangs put up three more goals in the second to further their lead over the Lancers, scored by Benjamin Lindberg, Trevor Grasby & Ryan Glazer.

The Mustangs wouldn't stop there, as 15 minutes into the third period Morrisville saw themselves extend their lead to six from Gradsby, with help from Trevor Neumann.

Worcester wouldn't give up as they fought until the very end, as they were able to get back on the board from a pass from sophomore forward Shane Prifrel (Inver Grove Heights, Minn) to junior forward Drew Eid (Gorham, Maine) for the Lancers' second of the night. This goal came with just over a minute to go in the game, which left little time for the Lancers to comeback from their deficit.

Junior Anthony Shrum (Muskegon, Mich.) started in the net for the Lancers, recording 20 saves out of 26 shots, while Morrisville's Grant Linville saved 23 out of 25.

This brings the Lancers to 9-10-1 on the season, while Morrisville improves to 7-13-0.
