MEDFORD, Mass. – Five participants of Worcester State University's men's track & field team attended the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on Saturday (Mar. 3) for a chance to up their current rankings, and register personal records.

- Eddy Acuna – 4th Place in Shot Put (15.17m/49-09.25)
- Markiesh Harmon – 6th Place in Long Jump (6.06m/19-10.75)
RECAP
Worcester State's Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) came just shy of his personal record of 19.15m (62' 9.75") which he marked last weekend at Boston University, earned a 1st place finish at the Tufts meet with a 19.12m (62' 8.75") distance. He currently stands at 5th place on the national list.
Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) came in 2nd place in the high jump, behind Tufts' Stefan Duvivier and marked a height of 2.07m (6' 9.5") in the meet. Lewis still is the top performer on the national list in the high jump with a height of 2.14m (7' 0.25").
Junior Anthony Christo (Peabody, Mass.) notched a personal best in the weight throw (16.54m) as he came in 5th place. Eddy Acuna (Newton, Mass.) and senior Markiesh Harmon (Leominster, Mass.) came in 5th and 6th places, respectively, in their events.
UP NEXT
The NCAA Championships will be held next weekend in Birmingham, Alabama.
