Lewis Finishes Fifth in High Jump for All-American Honors at NCAA DIII Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Worcester State University's sophomore Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) earned All-American honors in the high jump as he finished 5th with a height of 2.06m (6' 9") Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division III National Championship.

 

Lewis, who was named the 2017 NCAA DIII men's outdoor track & field high jump champion, entered today's competition ranked first in the nation with a height of 2.14m (7' 0.25) that he put forth on Feb. 2 at the NIECAAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.

 

Throughout the indoor season, he earned seven six place finishes in the high jump (UMass Boston Winter Open, 2017 Husky Indoor Invitational, Inaugural Branwen Smith-King Invitational, NEICAAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, New England Alliance Indoor Track & Field Championship, Division III New England Track & Field Championships).
