Lancers Race Hard at River Hawk Invitational

Worcester, MA- The Men's Indoor Track sent a select few athletes to the New Balance Track to compete in the River Hawk Invitational on Saturday. The meet combined programs from across all divisions, as well as allowing for open athletes to compete in a myriad of events on the day.

First year Alexander Lucier (Gardner, MA) had a strong showing in the 800m with a  time of 2:11.35 to finish in 48th place, and the 4th DIII finisher in a DI heavy event, while lone senior Daniel Clark (Worcester, MA) went the distance, competing in the 1000m for a finish of 2:42.13. The found Clark in 31st overall but 2nd in Division III participants in the event.

The 4x400 team for the Men made their first appearance this season, finishing in a time of 3:37.45 for their first marked time of the season. The team was comprised of first year Taylor Gavaletz (Dudley, MA), sophomore Brian O'Leary (Marlborough, MA), first year Seth Boudreau (Douglas, MA) and Clark. The team placed 23rd on the event and 3rd in DIII competitors.

The Lancers Track team is back in action next Thursday as they head back to the New Balance Track to compete in the All New England Championships.
