Bartlett Named MASCAC Pitcher of the Week for Third Time

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Softball team has again been awarded MASCAC Pitcher of the Week as senior Emily Bartlett (Lowell, MA) has claimed the recognition for the third time this season.

Bartlett was 3-0 in three appearances, allowing seven hits, six runs (three earned) with a 1.31 ERA, 32 strikeouts and two walks in a 3-0 week for the Lancers. Pitched in both ends of a doubleheader over MCLA. Went two innings, not allowing a hit or walk with six strikeouts in the 9-8 win then went the distance, allowing four hits, a walk and 16 strikeouts in the 7-6 win. Closed out her appearances on the week with three hits, one walk and 10 strikeout performance in the 1-0 win over Gordon.

On the season thus far, Bartlett has a record of 6-3 with five complete games going 51.1 innings of action. She has recorded 74 Ks with a 2.18 ERA.

Worcester State is in action at home today as they play as the away team versus Anna Maria College in a double header set with game one scheduled for 4pm.
