Worcester, MA- After a 5-6 week kicking off their 2024 season for the Worcester State Softball team, the Lancers had senior Emily Bartlett (Lowell, MA) named the MASCAC Pitcher of the Week after her strikeout performances on the week.
Bartlett went 2-2 with two complete games over 24 innings with 28 strikeouts and a 2.33 ERA for the Lancers. Struck out six with seven hits and two earned runs in the 2-1 setback to Ramapo. Tossed a complete game only allowing one run with seven strikeouts in the 2-1 extra innings win over Bates. Threw four innings with nine strikeouts and one earned run in the 10-2 win over Keuka. She recorded her 391st strikeout moving her to fourth on the all time strikeout leaders list for Worcester State in the Bates game bringing her season total to 33 Ks with a 3.21 ERA and 1.45 WHIP.
Worcester State softball is back in action tomorrow as the head down the road to face off against Clark University with the first game set for 3pm in the double header matchup.
