Lancers to Host “Math Madness" Event for Kids This Tuesday

Worcester, MA --- The Worcester State College women's basketball team will be hosting Wooster College of Ohio as part of their "Wooster to Worcester Challenge" on December 16 at 12 PM. In addition to entertaining the Fighting Scots, the Lancers will be holding a "Math Madness" event for local area elementary school's that will allow the students to enrich their math skills through basketball.

With approximately 560 students expected to show up from the May Street School, Tatnuck and Chandler Magnet schools along with Forest Grove Middle, the event is designed to offer students the opportunity to answer questions from grade appropriate math packets. The questions will engage the students in solving problems related to player statistics, scores, averages, court dimensions and other math equations.

While the game will start at noon, the children will have the opportunity to meet players from both teams following its conclusion.

Wooster ends its east coast swing with Worcester State after they will face off against Pine Manor on Sunday at 2.
