Lancers to Host “Math Madness” For Local Students On Wednesday

Worcester, MA --- The Worcester State women's basketball team will be hosting a "Math Madness" event for local area elementary and middle school students this Wednesday against Western New England College at 12 PM. The event will allow local children the opportunity to enrich their math skills through basketball.

With approximately more than 500 students expected to participate from the Tatnuck, May Street and Chandler Magnet schools along with the Forest Grove Middle school, the event is designed to offer students the opportunity to answer questions from grade appropriate math packets. The questions will engage the students in solving problems related player's statistics, scores, averages, court dimensions and other math equations.

The contest will tip-off at noon and the students will have the opportunity to meet and greet players from both teams following its conclusion.

Last years audience was treated to a thrilling 64-59 setback to Keene State College.
