Buzzards Bay, MA --- Senior Meaghan O'Keefe (Warren, MA) has been named MASCAC and WACBA Player of the Week for helping lead Worcester State to a 2-1 week.

For O'Keefe this marks the second time this season that she has received both conference  and WACBA weekly accolades.

O'Keefe averaged 17.3 points, 14.6 rebounds and two blocks which included 21 points and 19 boards in a 49-48 triumph over Westfield State before she notched 25 points and 14 caroms in a 62-46 win over MCLA.

She also connected for .500 percent from the field (20-40), hit .462 percent from beyond the arc (6-13) and corralled 11 boards in their 56-47 setback against Suffolk

In addition to being third in the MASCAC in total scoring (235) and sixth in average scoring (14.7 PPG), O'Keefe leads the seven-team conference in average rebounds (11.8 RPG), total boards (188), defensive caroms (143) and she also ties for first with 21 blocks.

The fourth-year center is also second in three point percentage (.362 – 17-for-47) and fourth in field goal percentage (.513).

Among NCAA Division III leaders as of Monday evening, O'Keefe is tied for fifth in total rebounds as she is third in New England in rebounding. Her field goal percentage is ninth-highest among those in the region.

With 127 career blocks, O'Keefe is only 28 rejections away from second-place on the all-time list which is held by Jenn Harris (2002-04).

The Lancers, who are currently 7-9 overall and unbeaten in league play (3-0), will play a pair of conference games on the road this week at 5:30. After heading to Fitchburg State on Tuesday, the Blue and Gold close things out with Bridgewater State on Thursday.
