Katy Howard enters her second season as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team.

Coach Howard enjoyed a solid career at Division II Assumption as a four-year starter that saw her finish 14th on the all-time scoring list while she averaged 3.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 114 games. Coach Howard also has the honorable distinction of being the program's all-time leader in minutes played and contests started.

In addition to being named to the All-Northeast 10 Rookie Team during her freshman campaign in 2009-10, Coach Howard was among the top 15 in the conference in free throws and assists in each of her last three seasons.

During her senior semester at Assumption, Coach Howard was second on the squad in scoring (11.6 PPG) while she helped lead the Greyhounds to the championship game of the Northeast 10 Tournament and an appearance in the NCAA Division II East Region Regionals.

As a sensational high school girls basketball player at Medway High, Coach Howard was instrumental in pacing the Mustangs to three Massachusetts State Division 3 South Girls Basketball Tournaments including a trip to the quarterfinals in 2009.

Coach Howard was recognied with Tri-Valley MVP and All-Globe Scholastic accolades in her senior year for averaging 18 points, eight rebounds and seven rebounds per game.
