Conway and Lee Recognized by ECHA

WORCESTER, Mass. -- After an undefeated week for the Lancers, women's ice hockey players Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass.) and Amber Lee (Nashua, N.H.) have been recognized by the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Alliance (ECHA) as Players of the Week.

Conway was named Player of the Week, while Lee earned Goaltender of the Week accolades.

A senior forward, Conway picked up six goal on a pair of hat tricks in the back-to-back victories for Worcester State (8-5-2, 2-0 ECHA). She scored a hat trick within the first period of a 9-1 victory over Curry College, and then backed the performance with a second three-score night versus Assumption in ECHA play.

Worcester State University junior goaltender,Amber Lee earned back to back wins including a 20 save performance over Assumption University. Lee also stopped 37 of 38 shots versus Curry College earning a .966 SV% and a 1.00 GAA on the 2-0-0 week for the Lancers.

Lee and Conway will lead the Lancers back on the ice on Friday, January 28th against University of New England, before a rematch against Assumption on Saturday at 8:30.
