MacGlashing Scores Twice as Lancers Come From Behind to Beat Raiders

NASHUA, N.H. – Amy MacGlashing (Marlborough, Mass.) scored two goals, including the game-tying goal with 13:55 in the third period as Worcester State came from a goal down to beat Rivier University 2-1 in Eastern Collegiate Hockey Alliance (ECHA) play on Saturday evening.

A day after beating the Raiders 9-0 on their home ice, the Lancers needed to score twice in the final 4:05 to emerge with the one-goal victory.

Kiersten Erickson (Broomfield, Colo.) scored the game-winner with just 2:10 remaining, her second straight game with a goal.

MacGlashing gave the Lancers the lead mid-way through the first period, but the Raiders tied the game with the only goal of the second and then took the lead 12 minutes into the third.

Cassidhe Wozniak (Turners Falls, Mass.) had a pair of assists for the Lancers, setting up both of MacGlashing's goals.

Worcester State outshot Rivier 43-7, but Rachel Hinkley made 40 saves for Rivier to keep the Raiders in the game.

Amber Lee (Nashua, N.H.) made five saves to earn the victory for the Lancers (13-6-2).

The Lancers will finish their regular season on Monday evening when they travel to Williams for a 6:00 PM puck drop.
