Worcester, MA - The Lancers took the ice against Curry College at the Canton Ice House Tuesday evening. Graduate forward Clare Conway (Billerica, MA)'s two goals, including the overtime winner, led the Lancers to a victory over the Colonels.

Conway, who also scored Worcester's only two goals, also led the team with eleven shots, bringing the team total to 42. Senior forward Katie Puumala (Framingham, MA), graduate defender Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, MA) & senior goaltender Amber Lee (Fairlawn, NJ) each recorded one assist in the game. Grayson Goolgasian recorded four shots for Curry, bringing their total to 24. 

 

In goal, Lee recorded five saves out of five shots in 22 minutes of playing time, while Sophomore Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicipee, MA) saved 18 out of 19 shots in 42 minutes of playing time. For Curry, Sarah Kerr recorded an impressive forty saves out of forty-two shots in the entire game. 

 

This win brings Worcester to a 5-3 overall record, while Curry drops to 3-3-2. 

 

The Blue & Gold are back home on December 2nd as they are set to play the first of their final three games of 2022, a showdown against the UMass Boston Beacons at the Worcester Ice Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:10pm. #WeAreWorcester
