Worcester, Mass. - The Lancers and Amcats clashed Saturday afternoon, wearing special jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness, in a conference battle at the DCU Center for their "Pink in the Rink" game. Worcester State, with a goal of extending their undefeated streak in the ECHA, were unable to put one in the net as they dropped their first conference game of the season to Anna Maria.

Both sides were scoreless in the first period, with the Lancers dominating in shot attempts at thirteen in comparison to the Amcats' three. Anna Maria, while only recording seven through the end of the second period, were able to get one past the line to put them up 1-0 by Riley Cote, with assistance from Grace Dodge & Shayla McDonald.

It only got tougher for the Lancers as they continued to make an effort to get themselves on the board, while Anna Maria eventually extended their lead with two more goals, with the first one coming from Grace Dodge on the power play and the second on an empty net from Jordyn Bleaney. Wotrcester made one final push to cut the deficit, however another save for the Amcats was made as the clock winded down to zero.
