1ST HALF

Worcester State reached the board in the 12th minute when Worcester State's Nicole Gifford (Rochester, Mass.) made a 40-yard pass up the right side of the field, only to find the foot of Ashleigh Howland (Wilmington, Mass.) who slammed the ball into the back of the net for the lead. The Lancers added to their lead in the 36th minute when Martin scored off a corner kick from Maddie Fong (Norton, Mass.) to head into the second half with a 2-0 advantage. The Lancers outshot the visitors by a 7-2 (5-1 SOG) margin in the first stanza. UMass Dartmouth's Abby Silva (Fall River, Mass.) tallied the Corsairs' sole shot on net in the first half.

2ND HALF

Kaitlin Beluzo (East Longmeadow, Mass.) commenced the scoring for the Blue and Gold in the second half as she scored off a goalie deflection in the 50th minute. Following Beluzo's goal, UMass Dartmouth's Silva tallied the team's second shot on net in the 53rd minute, however it was scooped up by Worcester State's Jill Zinkus (Grafton, Mass.) to preserve the shutout. Martin scored her second goal of the game in the 69th minute before the game concluded in the 72nd minute due to poor field conditions from the rainstorms in the area. Worcester State once again outshot the Corsairs 10-4 in the second frame.
