WESTFIELD, Mass. - Two Worcester State University women's indoor track & field student-athletes have received weekly awards from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Senior Abigail MacGregor (Salem, N.H.) has been named the MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week, while freshman Maureen Grady (Douglas, Mass.) received MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors.

MacGregor recorded three top-nine finishes at last weekend's Division III New England Regionals at Middlebury College. She ran the second leg of the Worcester State 4x200 meter relay team that placed third in New England, while also falling just shy of the final in the 60 meter dash, running a time of 7.99 seconds in the preliminary round to place ninth. MacGregor also earned All-New England honors with an eighth place finish in the 200 meter dash, running a time of 26.14 seconds.

At the same meet, Grady had a pair of top-10 finishes. She was the only Lancer to reach the final of the 60-meter dash, placing eighth with a time of 8.00 seconds. Grady was also 10th in the long jump with a leap of 5.29 meters.

The award is MacGregor's first weekly award of the 2019-20 season. Grady earns her third Rookie of the Week award and fourth award overall.
