Worcester, MA- In three meets on the season, the Worcester State Women’s Track and Field team’s first year Jadah Stokes (Savannah, GA) has come away with the MASCAC honor of Rookie of the Week. After a month-long break from action, Stokes returned to action on Saturday to compete in the Massasoit Classic at Springfield College.
Stokes would grab the first-place finish in the shotput, with a measurement of 11.88m in the event, a personal best on her collegiate career. She would also grab the fifth- place spot in the weight throw with a distance of 12.79m to round her success on the day.
The Track and Field team returns to action this Saturday when they travel to Wesleyan to compete in the Wesleyan Indoor Invite in their second to last meet before the MASCAC Indoor Championship.
