Kralian Named MASCAC Women’s Outdoor Track  Athlete of the Week

Buzzards Bay, MA --- Freshman standout Mara Kralian has been selected as this week’s MASCAC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after she helped Worcester State’s second place finish at the Slifen Invitational this past weekend.

Kralian, a product of Grafton, MA, captured top honors in both the 100 (13.12) and 200 meters (26.91) while helping the 4 x 100 relay team reset the school record that was eclipsed three weeks ago with a time of 50.19. Kralian also reset her own school record of 5.42 meters in the long jump which she set two weeks ago at the Jim Sheehan Invitational.

Kralian scored or helped to score 40 of the teams 131 points.

First-year Brittany Stoddard (Orange, MA) was distinguished on the MASCAC Honor Roll after she took first place in the javelin throw with a toss of 34.16 meters.

The Lancers will compete again this Saturday at the MASCAC/New England Alliance Championship meet hosted at Westfield State.
