North Dartmouth, MA --- Sophomore Mercedes Arnold (Mira Loma, CA) eclipsed her own mark in the long jump (5.61 meters) and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships as she helped the Worcester State women’s outdoor track and field team take home the top spot at the MASCAC Championships this afternoon.

The Lancers enjoyed a total team score of 215.5, followed by Westfield State (141), Fitchburg State (124), Bridgewater State (94), Salem State (31) and Mass Maritime (4). WSC also was second in the New England Alliance standings, just 99 points off of Southern Maine’s total of 230 points.
