Jasper Helps Women's Track Open Division III New England Run

 

Cambridge, MA --- Freshman standout Alyssa Jasper (Rockland, MA) is in third place in the heptathlon with 2,428 points to help lead the Worcester State women's track team on the second day of the Division III New England Championships hosted by MIT.

Jasper had a toss of 11.17 meters in the shot put (36-7.75), a leap of 1.37m in the high jump (4-6) while he also sprinted to 16.36 in the 100 meter hurdles and added a time of 27.38 in the 200.

First-year Amanda Caldarone (Danvers, MA) just missed on All-New England honors in the long jump as she placed ninth (5.15m/16-10.25) while junior Erin Donohue (Saugus, MA) was seconds away from breaking her own mark in the 10,000 meters (39:55.15) with a finish of 13th.

Sophomore Ali Barrett (Hingham, MA) was right behind Donohue in the 10,000 as she qualified herself for the ECAC Division III Championships in two weeks in 14th (40:10.91).
