Worcester, MA --- The eighth seeded Worcester State College women's volleyball team will travel to south to face #2 Johnson and Wales in the first round of the New England Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament on Wednesday at 7 PM. The winner will play the victor of the fifth seeded Babson and #4 University of New England contest on Saturday at Colby-Sawyer in the semifinals.
The other half of the bracket matchups will include #6 Norwich taking on third seeded Plymouth State on Wednesday. The winner of this game will face the top-seeded Chargers, who received a first round bye.
The Lancers (17-14) come off a hard 3-0 loss in the MASCAC semifinals to top seed and conference champion Bridgewater State on Saturday while the Wildcats (26-13) enter coming off a closely contest 3-2 loss in the GNAC Championship to Rivier College.
