Worcester, MA --- Freshman Megan Brown (Dartmouth, MA) recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 11 kills and 11 digs to help propel Worcester State University to a 3-1 triumph this evening over Bay Path in non conference women's volleyball action.

Both teams split the first two matchups by identical scores of 25-23 before the Lancers (6-7) won the third set 25-7 and the clinching match 25-23.

Junior Kristen Koles (Billerica, MA) also tallied 11 kills for WSU while freshman Shawna Strazzere (Billerica, MA) helped out with 19 assists. Junior Katey Figella (Feeding Hills, MA) finished with six aces as senior Michelle Maass (Halifax, MA) and third-year Joanne Grenier (Orange, MA) each contributed 12 and 11 digs, respectively.

The Wildcats (2-5) were paced by junior Vanessa Chaplin's (Attleboro, MA) 12 digs as classmate Nadine Harkless (Westfield, MA) added five kills and a solo block. Senior Ashley Provost (Ludlow, MA) finished with eight assists while junior Davi Chuong (Easthampton, MA) recorded four aces.

Worcester State will play again on Thursday at home against Newbury at 6 PM while Bay Path travels to Southern Vermont on Saturday for a 11 AM matchup.
